Dr. J. Doug Stringer is founder and president of Somebody Cares America-International, an international movement that has received recognition nationally and globally.
His years of ministry have taken him to numerous communities and nations; from urban to foreign missions; from garbage dumps to the palaces and halls of government leaders. As an Asian-American, Doug is considered a bridge-builder of reconciliation among various ethnic and religious groups. From preachers to politicians, he is recognized as an ambassador. Doug is a sought-after international conference and crusade speaker. Annually he addresses thousands throughout the U.S. and abroad on topics such as compassion evangelism, persevering leadership and community transformation, and more. Additionally he is invited by civic leaders including mayors and police officials to address issues in major cities across the US.
Lisa Stringer is the wife of Doug Stringer, the founder, and president of Somebody Cares America/International, a network of organizations impacting their communities through unified grassroots efforts. She homeschooled her daughter, Ashley, who recently graduated with her Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design while working on the releasing her second EP. Lisa travels with Doug as they minister to many around the globe, ranging from those of the persecuted church to those suffering in the aftermath of human tragedy, such as the Haitian earthquake, the tsunami in Japan, and Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas. Lisa enjoys opportunities where she has been able to interpret for her husband as they minister throughout Central and South America. She and her husband are also regular guests on various television programs that air worldwide. Lisa has a heart for the less fortunate, widows, and orphans. She has served on the board of Harvest Worldwide Ministries and an AIDS hospice in Uganda.
Lisa, Doug, and their daughter, Ashley, live in the greater Houston area.
By the age of 15, Ashley traveled to 23 nations, started an anti-bullying campaign, released an Ep. entitled 'Simple Smile', and performed in front of crowds of all sizes and types. She loves to share weekly inspiring and hope-filled videos on her YouTube channel, including travel vlogs, song covers, original music, and overall creative content. She has traveled the world with her parents serving in orphanages and helping the widows in need. Ashley is now 19 years old, working full time as a content creator, recording artist, and graphic designer!
